An unsurpassed opera by Gioacchino Rossini based on the libretto by French playwright Pierre-Augustin de Beaumarchais. This modernized version by Anatoly Solovyanenko has long been a favorite performance among fans of the National Opera of Ukraine. The action of the opera is transferred to a modern space, devoid of any telling signs of time and space, the modernity being traced back to the costumes and scenery.
